Above: Three Faiths Forum: Facilitating Muslim-Christian-Jewish trialogue
The Three Faiths Forum facilitates Muslim-Christian-Jewish "Trialogue" in schools across London. Through RE and Citizenship, the organisation educates about the three Abrahamic faiths and also about how faith is lived, talked about and understood in British Society. Programmes can be engaged in by young people of all and no particular religious belief.
Activities help students:
- Feel more secure about their knowledge of their own religious traditions
- Learn how individuals understand and practice their faiths
- To become more confident, sensitive and effective interfaith communicators
Activities include:
- Encountering Faiths: Meeting with young people from different faiths, hearing their stories and engaging in 'Questions and Answers'
- Tools for Trialogue: A text based programme where students are given the opportunity to encounter scriptures from the three Abrahamic faiths side by side under the guidance of young, dynamic scholars.
- Skills for dialogue and communication: Interactive games helping young people to become more aware in their communications, particularly when in dialogue with those of other faiths or backgrounds.
- Support for RE & Citizenship teachers: Particularly when teaching about controversial issues
