The activities in this pack are designed to be used with learners as part of a citizenship programme. They provide a range of ways of encouraging debate about the concepts of ‘identity', ‘cultural identity' and ‘national identity'. It also includes two DVDs, one (Diversity, identities and citizenship: Discussion and activities) is a recording of a workshop with 12 young people from a wide range of different backgrounds at which some of the activities in this pack were trialled; and the other (Young, British and Muslim) produced by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office aims to portray the variety of lifestyles and views of Muslims in Britain.
