Britkid is an interactive website about race, racism and life, seen through the eyes of children. The site was developed by a project team in partnership with a range of organisations including Comic Relief and Childline. It is primarily intended as an educational tool for use mainly in areas where young people do not have frequent contact with minority ethnic groups, although it can also be used by those who do. Students can use the interactive website independently or with more direction from teachers and other educators.

The site is based around 9 imaginary characters that have a series of conversations about issues such as race, ethnicity, crime and discrimination. There are also teacher's resources which add factual context to the issues discussed.

The website at http://www.britkid.org/ provides access to a small number of lesson plans and photocopiable activity sheets. Links are shown to the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 and 3 and the website provides useful links to other resources and relevant organisations.
