100 Welsh Heroes presents a database of the greatest Welsh men and women of all time who have shown achievement in a broad range of fields. The website was developed by Culturenet Cymru which is a new body working to promote Welsh culture and heritage online. The site is designed to present celebrated Welsh heroes nominated by the public. The site provides background information on each of the heroes and a range of articles on the subject of Welsh heroes. A small number of cross-curricular lesson ideas can be found on the website and those for PSHE and the Welsh curriculum explore issues of what it means to be Welsh and understandings of the concept of hero.
