MapZone is a free, award winning web site aimed at children from ages 7-14. The online resource contains information about all the map reading skills relevant to the National Curriculum and includes quizzes, games and printable resources to aid teachers deliver map reading in a fun way at all levels from KS 2 - KS 4. Introduces GIS with practical online missions and also links to the Geograph web site that contains over 700 000 photographs covering virtually the whole of Great Britain. These photographs are free for non-profit making use and teaching.

The site is constantly being updated with new educational games and content so is a rich source of resources for those wishing to learn the basic map reading skills.
