Radiowaves Voice It! challenges young people to create websites, blogs and podcasts to investigate, report or campaign on issues that matter to them. It is an opportunity for students to get their voices heard by the people who can really make a difference including local councillors, MPs and ministers.
Registering will give you free access to the Radiowaves Voice It! channel where students can create web pages, publish audio and video podcasts and receive feedback. Participating in Voice It! is an opportunity for schools to encourage and support student voice, connect with their local community, contribute to national research and really make a difference. Due to the high levels of sign ups, the Ministry of Justice have extended their funding of additional recording kit and training to twenty more schools. To be in with a chance of winning, fill in the application form when you register and tell us why student voice is important to you.
You can also download activity guides to help deliver Voice It! within KS2 PSHE and KS3 Citizenship. Simply click on the link to the Voice It! resources page. You can also download manuals for using the Radiowaves Recording equipment and Audacity, as well as guides to making radio programmes.
